AMS SUMMER SCHOOL:
The Alliance Middle School Summer School program has several openings for students who are presently in the 5th and 6th grades. If you would like to register your child for summer school at AMS, please call the school at 308-762-3022.
Summer school begins Monday, June 1 with free breakfast being served at 7:30 a.m. Classes begin each day at 8:00 a.m. Classes end at 11:30 a.m. and free lunch is served at that time.
Students are required to attend a minimum of 18 days and courses will be offered in the following subjects: 1.) Social Studies 2.) Science 3.) Math 4.) Language Arts/Reading and 5.) Culture.
The present openings at AMS for summer school will be filled on a first come-first serve basis. Please call the school at 308-762-3022 if you would like to register a student.
I am Donna McKay. I grew up in Hay Springs, Ne. I received and under graduate degree from Chadron State College in Family and Consumer Science and PE. I have done various things in my life. I worked as a 4 - H Aide, also worked at Woolrich Woolen Mills and with North West Community Action with WIC and Family Planning.
I returned to college and received a Masters in Vocational Education in 1996 and taught for 4 years in Kansas.
I Moved back to Hay Springs and finished a Masters In Counseling in 2002. I worked in South Dakota as well as Nebraska in the counseling field. I enjoy working at AMS.
I am married, my husband is Richard. We live in Hay Springs. My children are grown and I enjoy spending time with my family and grandchildren and doing crafts and reading.
